Rowlett is more than a place to buy a house. It’s a place that is rich with a sense of unmatched community pride and a promising future.”
Writers from Money Magazine visited Rowlett several months ago with the news that Rowlett had been selected as a candidate for the top 100 cities in America to be listed in the “Best Places To Live” edition. While in Rowlett, the writers visited many sites on their own and interviewed residents, city officials, the local media and businesses. Several follow-up phone interviews and visits resulted in Rowlett’s high ranking.
“I think the voice of our community speaks loud and clear that Rowlett is the place to be,” said Lynda Humble, City Manager. “When you have so many people saying the same thing about how wonderful it is to live here, it was inevitable that Rowlett would be chosen to be in the top 25.”
Only four Texas cities made the top 100 list and three are in the Metroplex … McKinney #5, Allen #16, and Rowlett #24. Missouri City in south Texas, was ranked #21.
